VIDEO: Zach Galifianakis Smokes Joint on Live TV
Forget Snoop Dogg and Willie Nelson. Marijuana enthusiasts have a new pot culture icon to salute after Zach Galifianakis lit a joint during a round table discussion of Proposition 19 on HBO's Real Time with Bill Maher last Friday.
While Maher and guests Lawrence O'Donnell and Reihan Salam did their best to ignore the Due Date star, political commentator Margaret Hoover (great granddaughter of Herbert Hoover) reached over to inspect the joint for herself. She didn't inhale, etc.
Take a look at the video below and decide where Movieline should rank Galifianakis on our Hollywood Morality Index.

Shouldn't he get arrested?
That's what passes for dimlibber humor? The BO stench (a fellow illicit drug abuser who boasted about his being a pot and crack head in his "enlightening" book about himself must love it). Thank GOD for what will happen tomorrow as true patriots of the American Constitutional Republic are swept into office with the single most important goal of 2010: The beginning of the end of the OBAMANATION UPON THE NATION, INC.

Kenneth,
Seriously, This guy is an actor! Thats all. This was a stunt. You need to take the stick out of you ass.
OR??
You are really supporting the virtues of Christine O'Donnell by bashing a fat bearded actor.
GOD help the country if you are the voice of salvation.
Only a real GREEK would of done that.. yes, he should of been ARRESTED.. but then.. drinking to the point of oblivion on LIVE TV is also illegal. Gluttony also should be against the law.

yeah, we need nazis like you voting like we need another war started on false pretenses.
You guys are all self righteous mornons who want to impose YOUR personal beliefs and perspectives on the rest of us Americans. Did the guy smoking a little herb grown from the ground harm anyone during the show? No it didnt... he would of been more likely to start a fight if he was irritated from stopping smoking or hammered from drinking too much then if he was smoking this on tv.... ignorant america... If you don't like our country being progressively in line with the change of the times, then fly over to saudi arabia where you can reset the timeline a good 800 years.
Jesus H. Christ, are these people incapable of speaking in anything other than catchphrases and slogans?
What an ass. I mean both of them.
That's hillarious.
And somebody help us with what may happen tomorrow. The nutjobs are coming, with their platform of fear and hate. No thanks, guys. Washington is crazy enough without certifiable bigots making their way in.
Ok. This nonsense has got to stop. There are literally no valid reasons for marijuana to be illegal anymore. All the possible problems those of you reading and shaking your heads will list have to do with the criminal element of this product, and guess what that goes away when it's legal. It's time for the ignorance on this issue put forth by conservatives to be set straight.
Marijuana is a perfectly safe substance. It doesn't cause lung cancer like cigarettes, it isn't nearly as dangerous as alcohol. It CAN'T kill you, seriously Tylenol is far worse for you.
I'm not going to act like someone who believes that the medical uses of marijuana are the reason why we should legalize it, honestly the way medical marijuana is distributed currently is laughable, there is no measurement system, so dosing is impossible.
Bottom line, we waste millions across this nation every year in enforcement for something our founding fathers knew was a harmless plant. Why not tap into the 50+ Billion dollar industry that already exists? We're going to smoke the stuff anyway it's not like that will ever stop. Stop wasting our tax dollars on a useless vendetta that should have ended decades ago.
If you still think marijuana should be illegal, you know nothing about it. Read a book and figure something out for yourself.
Since when did the Constitution ban the smoking of pot?? Oh, yeah... it doesn't, never did! If we truly operated based on what the constitution says, we would have the freedom to smoke whatever the heck we wanted. Stupid people have eroded our freedom in the name of 'freedom' (aka religion).
He tried to cover his ass and say that it was fake marijuana but I don’t believe that. I’m actually kinda glad that he did this stunt because I feel like it just fed into the existing stigmas around marijuana use. Don’t get me wrong though… I think that marijuana should be legalized, but I’m just sort of happy that prop 19 didn’t pass. I have a feeling that the demographic that doesn't smoke primarily "because it's illegal" is going to start experimenting with it, and we're constantly going to have a bunch of old a-holes crashing their cars because they don't know how much they can smoke/can't handle being high. I’d probably say only 10% of the people I know that smoke can drive normally while high, and those people have been smoking for god knows how long. I realize that even if marijuana was legalized that it'd still be illegal to drive high, but there’d still be a percentage of cars on the road that would be driven by these newbs who don't yet understand the technicalities of driving while being stoned out of your mind. For instance, a car ran over my mail box about 2 years ago. My security camera at my home recorded it so I got their license plate, and it turns out that the driver was high and claimed that it was their first time trying to drive on it (you can even see in the video that he’s smoking a joint while he’s driving. I even saved a picture… home">http://www.homesecuritysystems.com/">home security cam marijuana idiot). I’m sure over time that the demographic of “new” smokers will eventually know their limits and when they are not able to drive, but at the moment, I’m glad prop 19 failed because I wasn’t looking forward to buying a new mailbox.
