Creepy Poster for Kevin Smith's Red State: What's Under the Sheet?
Before the sun rises and Halloween officially comes to an end, here's a first look at the teaser poster for Kevin Smith's upcoming evangelical horror movie Red State. Judging from this ominous one-sheet, it looks like he isn't going for laughs this time. Smith is calling the film as a counterpoint to the Satanic exploitation movies of the 70s, describing it instead as a "Christ-sploitation" flick. Expect to see the six people that showed up to protest Dogma picketing theaters in 2011.

Oooh... white sheets! Not as scary as Smith's feeble attempts at directing, though.
About time someone makes a movie about the horrors of twisted bible thumpers.
Satan is REAL. The Bible is there to help us. If you think that evil does not exist, you will have more to learn in life than you will ever expect.

Do you think it's a coincedence that certain bad things happen in your life? Nope. I truly believe that those who have done wrong in the past will suffer in some way later. And it can be generational. Many FORGET easily what they've done wrong or are in complete DENIAL.
Trace back to all the things you've done to hurt people.
But those who acknowledge what they did and try to make up for it, will cleanse their souls.
There are evil spirits all around us. And your own soul can be trapped after you die.
Religion is there to protect you spiritually. As well as mentally. The Bible is more of a rule book on how to lead your life from trouble; not to condemn anyone. It is the misguided people who use the Bible to condemn others.... basically, a power trip.
Demons are very real.
Don't brush these things off.
Tip: Take away anger & depression & substance abuse from your life, and the devil won't come after you. Protect yourself by PRAYING.
Even if you don't go to Church, atleast watch religious shows which are actually educational, like Joel Osteen ministry or Creflo Dollar ministry or Joyce Meyer ministry. You'll see & hear alot of insightful things that pertain to your life. They are not trying to condemn you or cheat you of something.
Just acknowledge God in your mind.
funny thing is karma is a concept of an eastern religion. So by invoking it there are some who might say you would be violating gods laws yourself. Food for thought captain judgy.
Satan has always been...even before the creation of the world. Yes, he is real...all the angels that have fallen from Heaven with him are real, and yes, his influence and attacks are real. Don't think for one second, that he is just the cute little red devil with horns and a forked tail. Don't let that image fool you. Unless you fully understand the necessity of accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and follow him, you will not understand the consequences of continuing on the path to destruction. Nor will you understand Hell. If you want to truly know what Hell is, try reading "The Divine Revelation of Hell" by Mary Kay Baxter. For those of you who do know and understand what I'm talking about, there is a major battle going on in the spirit realm right now, and it's our prayers, praise, and worship that help to break those bondages in the spiritual realm. Now is the time to dig into God's word, pray and praise...even when all "Hell is breaking loose" around you. Even satan remains subject to God's authority. So if Satan is limited in power, and we are God's children, which mean we possess the same characteristics that Jesus Christ possessed, then why are we not walking and utilizing that power? Because we are scared of what people may say or think. Get over the fear christians, and start taking back what the enemy has taken away. Use the authority that you have in God boldly and take him at his word. Time is running out. Think about it!!!!!! Karma...is just another name for the law of sowing and reaping: "Whatsoever a man soweth, so shall he reap"

I think the biggest shock from this film will be happening to the folks who are expecting people to pay to see it.
Aaron, you're right. No one should say "Karma is a B***h because it is invoking God's Judgement, which I have no place in doing. But I was not judging anyone. Not many Bible readers judge anyone, as it is the STEREOTYPE of "bible thumpers." They have their opinions and beliefs AS MUCH AS YOU DO. Some Christians believe Goth and Halloween and Hinduism and LGBT is is "not right." But they are not "judging." Those are their true beliefs. That is what I love about America. That we have the freedom of religion and believe what we want to believe. To restrict or condemn people for being themselves is not something I condone though. But just as I believe that people should not censor others with different lifestyles/choices/types of being, I believe that people who have religious beliefs should not be censored either.
My REAL point is, that the Bible & Church are here to help. I believe that simply because you are Gay doesnt mean you cant be religious or follow the Bible or whatever religion brings goodness into your life. In fact, I think if more LGBT people supported the Church, there would be less of a divide. OTHER non-christian religions, such as Judaism and Islam and Hinduism and Buddhism are in existence to bring STRUCTURE. They are in existence to HELP people who are STRUGGLING or to GUIDE them when they are struggling or to PREVENT them from struggling.
The Bible as well as Christian Churches are your WARRIORS against spiritual deterioration.
Murderers, cheaters, drunkards, drug-addicts, attackers, terrorists.... as "Bible thumper" as it sounds... these ARE the work of the devil... if you think about it.
Many psychics (which by the way, some Christians do not believe in psychic work) have been very clear in pointing out that Satan does exist and so do evil entities as well as angry/depressed spirits and just plain normal souls roaming the earth. Native Americans believe it and burn sage & do rituals to keep the spiritual world at bay/peace.
I believe god has judged kevin smith harshly. As punishment kevin will never be allowed to make a funny movie (or a good movie) ever again. Also a sober jason mewes is not a funny jason mewes.
