Finally, Mike Tyson Weighs in on Mel Gibson
As if on cue, the pre-Hangover 2 hype hits its nadir: "I'm not going to ever in my life point my finger at anyone," said Mike Tyson, affirmatively replying to whether or not he would have worked with the film's ousted Mel Gibson. "I don't live in a glass house. None of us do. I work with anybody, as long as they're respectful. [...] We all have that guy -- a Mel Gibson -- in us. We just don't want people to be exposed to it. Maybe he needs to go get help. We all need help, and need someone to talk to. I'm not against him, but I'm not for him." Now you know. [NYP]

Mike Tyson: voice of reason.
Amazing that this guy is literally the first person in the media I have heard to demonstrate any compassion on this issue. Nice one Mike.
"They would give Jeffrey Dahmer a second chance before they gave me another one."

Michael, I must inquire, weighing your cerebral output on this tenuous subject: Ya gonna eat his chid'ren?
It kills me how quick people turn their backs on others.Especially when they acted like they would have eaten a pile of their you know what not to long ago.At least now Mel knows who is who.
Because of his strange voice and bad behavior, people forget that Mike Tyson has always been a very intelligent - albeit very disturbed - person. This is one of the most reasoned statements I've heard anybody make about Mel Gibson. He's neither condemning nor pandering. He also focuses on the central issue driving Gibson's behavior - mental illness. I really respect this response.
Mel Gibson is human just like the rest of us. Hasn't there been a time when you became very upset talking with someone in a heated discussion and said things you later regretted. Mel didn't realize his conversation was being recoreded for the entire world to hear. In all fairness to Mel this conversation should have never been heard by anyone else, beside himself and his girlfriend. I will always be a fan of Mel Gibson.
