Did SNL Steal the 'Brett Favre Open Fly Jeans' Sketch from the Internet?

favre_wrangler_225.jpgPotentially. Remember that very funny Saturday Night Live commercial parody over the weekend for Brett Favre's "open fly" Wrangler jeans ("I put my pants on just like anyone else: One leg at a time. Then I pull my penis out") that had you in stitches on Sunday morning? Well, it's eerily similar to a Funny or Die video posted last week -- right down to the open fly.

If all this sounds familiar, that's probably because you remember the "tiny hats" controversy that felled Saturday Night Live last month. Or maybe you remember all the way back to Friday evening when Trey Parker and Matt Stone had to apologize for ripping off a College Humor video during their Inception episode of South Park. Sure, Parker and Stone have no connection to SNL, but there is an alarming pattern developing here, wherein comedy writers seem willing to hijack web videos for their own needs and wants. What gives? As The Social Network taught us: The Internet isn't written in pencil; it's written in ink. Or something.

On the flipside, it could all just be one big coincidence. It's not like Brett Favre's "open fly" jeans is such an original concept anyway, right? Watch the video evidence below and leave your verdict in the comments: Is SNL guilty or not guilty?
