Shudder With Antici...: Movieline Grades Glee's Leaked Rocky Horror Songs

"Science Fiction Double Feature" (Santana & Tina)

The gals put just the right amount of breathy sensuality into the show opener, though to be honest I'm not sure exactly which gals are singing. There's conflicting information as to who gets credit, but I think I can definitely hear Santana and I'm pretty sure that Tina's in there rubbing some Asian flavor (as Mike Chang might say) on it.

I'd rather swallow my own cock than listen to this bullshit.

  • Gabrielle says:

Uhmm, you know it's Finn(Cory Monteith) singing the Riff Raff parts on Time Warp, don't you?

  • Dixon Gaines says:

You know that's Colfer pictured in the icon dressed as Riff Raff, don't you?

  • pinkyt says:

I read the same thing somewhere (it is CM singing on "Timewarp"), although I have no idea why that would be the case given CC is in the Riff Raff costume. Oh, well, whoever it is he does a fine job.

I'm pretty sure that's Quinn and Santana (briefly) on the "Science Fiction Double Feature" number.

  • Gabrielle says:

It is Chris Colfer in the Riff Raff costume and Chris Colfer doing the Richard O' Brien like voice. But Cory Monteith is singing "I remember doing the time-warp, Drinking those moments when, The Blackness would hit me, And the void would be calling." and then another part later.
In the words once spoken by Quinn Fabray, "I'm right and you're wrong."

  • Jennifer says:

I don't get why the hell they don't have Puck in this episode playing Frank.
I guess given that Finn = Brad very well, Artie is a slam dunk for the Professor, Sam = Rocky very well, and Kurt = Riff Raff, who does that leave to do the part? Mike Chang? Who we know doesn't "sing" all that well?

  • Irritated Fan says:

    WTF is this crap?!?!
    1. Using musical arrangements from the movie is a major fucking copout. The tracks sounded very nearly like they came straight from the Sing It! karaoke CD. Doesn't this show have a budget for a musical director...? I mean, it IS a musical show, right?
    2. Changing lyrics of songs that are TIME-HONORED is an insult to fans who know and love the material and also an insult to Glee's audience, as they can handle the original lyrics. WTF is "bad fretting"?!?!?!? And whoever gave them permission to do so should have their nuts kicked in.
    3. A FEMALE FRANK = AUTOMATIC FAIL!!!

The original copyright holders gave them the go ahead. And they're probably laughing all the way to the bank. They wanted to sell the CDs. So they had to censure the lyrics, so what! Glee is going to introduce RHPS to a new generation of viewers, perpetuating its tradition.
And may I remind you that this is the Rocky Horror Picture Show. It's made to be ridiculed and laughed at. You'd think some kind of high-art form has been violated. LOL at the response.
