Thursday's news that Angelina Jolie and James Cameron are Sony's choices to steer a new, 3-D Cleopatra on to screens caught pretty much everyone in the world off-guard -- partly because of the expense and magnitude of such a project, partly because of its fascinating creative prospects, and partly because it will never happen. The ONLY PERSON who could come close to Cleopatra is CHER. she has the looks. Please, Please NOT ANGELINA JOLI. SHE IS ALREADY OVER EXPOSED, DON'T NEED TO READ ANYMMORE GOSSIP ABOUT HER.
Julia Roberts, are you kidding.
She made a name for herself in Pretty Woman - so absolutely NOT Ms. Roberts.
I dunno, that doesn't sound so far off! Give them a few years.
what about Megan Fox for Cleopatra?
Sophia Vergara could do it too?
Lindsay Lohan and Quentin Tarantino
I dunno, I think this is actually kind of inevitable, assuming she ever gets out of jail/rehab/uninsurable purgatory.
Yes! Let's make it happen.
Well, considering she found her way into Machete, I think the odds of QT putting her into one of his films isn't that remote. Unless Rodriguez didn't like working with her and talks him outta it. I think Tarantino can handle a bit o' crazy, though, so who knows?
Otherwise, let's go with Shirley MacLaine and the Coen boys.
Cleopatra was a GREEK woman, she was not BLACK! and what do GREEK women look like? Well they have olive skin, dark long hair, hmmmm, sounds like Angelina! I wish all these people pushing for a woman of Color to play the role of Cleopatra would get a clue and maybe take some history classes, because it is not at all out of the question for a woman like Angelina Jolie to play the role. I'm not even a fan of her, but looks wise, she fits the part.
