What's On: Modern Family Decides to be Honest

JesseTylerFerguson225.jpgModern Family kicks up some inter-family hijinks this week, which is a nice change of pace from the Delgado-Pritchett-Tucker-Dunphy separation that has dominated this season's episodes. Who will take home Movieline's coveted "Modern Family Member of the Week" trophy this week? Jay, Claire, and Cameron have won so far, but I'm suspecting a victory for Mitchell in the works. Join me for a preview of tonight's best viewing options.

Survivor [CBS, 8 PM]

The divisions between La Flor and Espada tribes collapse, shockingly both sides. This means NaOnka gets the chance to annoy everyone (while delighting me), and both teams get a chance to ogle Chase's finely sculpted torso. I'm not so willing to share there.

Modern Family [ABC, 9 PM]

Claire and Mitchell agree to be honest with each others' spouses about their dubious decisions. Jay and Gloria attend a birthday party for Jay's coworker's daughter. If Mitchell doesn't have a fantastic episode this week, I think we can bank on another winning half hour from Jay, who has been terrific this season.

Hellcats [CW, 9 PM]

The volleyball team challenges the Hellcats to some flag football. OK, we all love this show a little, right? Aly Michalka sells it. Hope this episode is as campy and hilarious as it sounds.

The Blind Side [HBO, 7:45 PM]

Sandra Bullock won an Oscar for her role as Leigh Anne Touhy, the tough-talking southern mom who invites a disadvantaged youth to live with her family. You know the story: He becomes a college football star and goes onto the NFL. And we weep because this story makes us feel good. Just comply. You know you like it.
