Michael J. Fox Reshoots Original Back to the Future Teaser, Still Better than Eric Stoltz

It's certainly Back to the Future week on the Internet, huh? At the beckoning of Spike TV, star Michael J. Fox was corralled into re-shooting the original teaser for the film, in an effort to promote the Scream awards. With Back to the Future is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, it's pretty great to see Fox back as Marty McFly, even if it is only for a couple of seconds. OK, now to the elephant in the room that I've seen mentioned on Twitter: Yes, Fox has Parkinson's disease and, yes, it's kinda noticeable in the promo. But, who cares? Obviously Fox doesn't -- as he's anything but camera shy. So sit back, rejoice and head back to the future with Marty McFly.

  • Doug says:

I don't think his Parkinson's is THAT noticable. He looks like a regular 49-year-old guy.

  • Chris says:

I think Michael J. Fox is doing great for battling Parkinsons for so long. I just can't believe that it has been 25 years since he played Marty McFly in the first Back to the Future.

Except maybe that I don't know any 49-year-olds who look quite so young. (sarcasm there perhaps?)

  • Niki says:

Wow! He looks FAB! I can not believe it has been 25-years! This is one film I wish they would keep making sequels for... It would be awesome!

  • JayCee says:

We have the trilogy and LOVE it. All hats off to Marty, er Michael J. Fox. he is a strong person. " The future.... I gotta check this out, Doc!"

  • JayCee says:

We saw all the movies in the theatre, have the trilogy on VHS, DVD and LOVE all of it. Our children identify with the story as much as we. Marty, er rather Michael J Fox, is an awesome person. He doesn't sit back and complain about his condition. He is at the forefront of the research to find a cure. " The future... I gotta check this out, Doc!" It all means so much more. God Bless him and all who suffer from Parkinson's.

I think what's most amazing is that SPIKE was able to find a Delorean for the new teaser in the first place!

  • Roger says:

Michael J. Fox represented our youth and generation. The youth from the 80's who grew up watching good movies and listening to good music. It was an era that makes me nostalgic, and I wish Mr. Fox the best of the best in his life and may the Good Lord bless him. Thanks for the good memories and let's go back to the future!

    Jon!~
The three Delorean DMC-12's from the movies are still in existence, so the one in the teaser may be one of those. Also, there are around 1800 still in private hands so one could be procured if needed. Finally, "New" DMC-12's, hand made including original factory parts and body panels from the Dunburry plant, can be purchased from the DeLorean Motor Company in Florida.

I loved these movies as a kid (I grew up in the nineties). Micheal J Fox was my first crush, and he still makes me melt. He's so brave, and I wish him and his family the best.
