3 Shows That Fox Should Cancel Instead of Running Wilde
Bad news, Running Wilde groupies. After Fox announced that it would be preempting the October 26 episode of Mitch Hurwitz and Will Arnett's latest collaboration, Arnett took to his Twitter account yesterday to start a grassroots campaign to save the series. (Creator Hurwitz even allegedly opened his own Twitter account just so that he could participate.) Will 140 character missives hash-tagged #SaveRunningWilde be enough to save the show? Who knows, but Movieline has three series in mind that it would prefer seeing Fox cancel first.
· MasterChef
If Fox has room for THREE Gordon Ramsay series (Kitchen Nightmares, Hell's Kitchen and now MasterChef), can't it find one half-hour time slot for the people who created one of the most clever comedies of our generation?
· American Dad
To echo the previous sentiment, If Fox has room for THREE Seth MacFarlane series (The Cleveland Show, Family Guy and now American Dad), can't it find one half-hour time slot for the people who created one of the most clever comedies of our generation?
· Bob's Burgers
This series has not even premiered yet but here is what you need to know: It is another animated comedy about a blue collar family on Fox. Unlike The Cleveland Show, Seth MacFarlane is not involved and while Bob's Burgers does have a rich pedigree with talent including Kristen Schaal, Dan Mintz (Important Things with Demetri Martin, Human Giant) and Eugene Mirman (The Flight of the Conchords), it does not promise the same emotional and comedic payoff as a show that heroically breaks Fox's current programming mold -- even if that show did get off to a rocky start.
So please, Fox, take pity on Mitch Hurwitz -- who was the first to suggest that his show dealt with a few creative struggles early in production -- and give him a few more episodes. Maybe Will Arnett's half-nude scene -- in which he seductively washes the car of guest star Andy Richter -- will attract Gordon Ramsay-worthy numbers.

Comments
Hey, I'm all for giving Mitch Hurwitz his due, but lay the hell off 'American Dad'. It's the only show under the MacFarlane banner that continues to get better, and its consistently hilarious (which, let's be honest, 'Running Wilde' is not.)
The series has/had an in-built audience for Arrested Development tragics like me, but it's just not that funny. Take away Hurwitz and Arnett and I would've said "can it!" after the pilot. With those two and the goodwill acquired, I've given it a chance, but it's not something I want to continue watching.
Is it really Andy Richter? It could be one of his brothers, like Emmet.
Think about it, we've never seen his face.
Bob's Burgers is actually hilarious, unlike this article. At least give the pilot a watch before you make ridiculous demands.
