DC Pretty Much Confirms a Flash Movie by Denying a Justice League Movie
Today at New York Comic Con, DC Comics' chief creative officer Geoff Johns was asked if there would be a DC equivalent of Marvel's superhero ensemble movie The Avengers. Without missing a beat, Johns answered, "I'm going to speak frankly. I think our characters are bigger than Marvel's" -- adding that he wants to avoid "smashing them together." That sounds like a fairly clear "no" to a Justice League movie (while not missing a chance to slam Marvel). When asked about a film adaptation of The Flash, meanwhile, Johns started to answer, stopped, then merely replied, "That would be cool." [Comicbookmovie via io9]

It's really too bad that the Justice League movie won't go through. But I guess we'll settle for a Flash movie. I'm glad we finally have a suggestion for an actor to play the Scarlet Speedster.
