'Tatooine': The Coolest Star Wars Video You Will Watch This Month

In what appears to be a direct protest of George Lucas's announcement that the six Star Wars films will be released in 3-D, Jeremy Messersmith and Eric Power (some people just have the coolest names) created a song and music video, respectively, retelling the entire Original Trilogy using construction-paper animation. Yes: Construction- paper animation. I know what you're thinking, and I was hesitant to watch the two-minute video as well, but seriously, I'm a bit moved the whole thing. The Force is strong with these guys. One can only hope they give the same treatment to the prequels -- it could only improve them.

Hmmmm, not too sure what to say. Why no asteroid chase from Empire? This form will, however, greatly benefit the prequels.

FFS. Ironic hipsters who love Star Wars and douse everything they do in sarcasm are about a dime a dozen nowadays. Let me guess, these douches live in Brooklyn? Did you snap a photo of them wearing "retro" t-shirts that feature 8-bit sprites and clever phrases?
Were they not offended by the 387 special editions and theater-reruns that Lucas has already cashed in on because he knows his fanbase will buy dumb crap?
"Oh no! Lucas is milking his franchise by re-releasing it in a new, special format! He has never done that before...how offensive!"

Judging from your long winded and cynical intro, I'd say pot calling kettle black.
