Are We Living in the Golden Age of Campaign Commercials?

Not to be outdone by their Red State Brethren, Democratic candidates have occasionally been known to take their ads somewhat away from the norm. Or maybe that's just Kathleen Rice, the New York candidate for Attorney General. In this ad, she channels the best episode of CSI: NY to never air.

And if Jerry Bruckheimer isn't your speed, perhaps a healthy dose of Roger Sterling will make you smile.

What does all this mean? Not much. Though perhaps next time Christine O'Donnell makes a campaign ad, she'll think about hiring someone from Mad Men to speak on her behalf. Can you imagine how much more sincere those witch denials would sound coming from the mouth of Bert Cooper?

    These are amazing.
In 2012, Barack needs to get Jon Hamm to fire machine guns in ads with him. That will sew it up.

If only that witch O'Donnell had put an "of" after "heard", her add would have been perfection.
