No Longer Talking About My Generation

my-generation.jpgMy Generation -- the ABC mockumentary that dared you to fall in love with 9 thinly-sketched archetypes -- is the second show this season to get the cancellation axe from execs. After posting even terrible numbers the first week and even worse numbers the second, ABC took pity on us all and sent the narcissistic Gen-Y navel-gazers straight to hell. Alas, poor My Generation, we'll always have your maddeningly vague and incredibly irritating posters. [Vulture]

Good. I can't recall an ad campaign more confusing in recent memory, or more ugly.

What?!?! You mean a cliched, terribly-written, culturally opportunistic sh!t festival starring WB rejects didn't manage to make a dent in the legions of retards gorging themselves on reality TV?
Until The Walking Dead premiers, I'll stick with HBO and Yankee games.

  • OldTowneTavern says:

To throw salt into the wound, ABC told them that whenever they renew Castle, they'll be thinking of them.

Vague? The show's tagline was "It's not where they've been, it's where they're going." How much clearer could they be?

  • Bart says:

Agreed, marketing (as well as the faux-doc style) was terrible. Those posters with the woe-is-me headshots and the mopey quotes looked like bad body image PSAs.
