The Pacific's Rami Malek Joins Breaking Dawn
It's been a good week for Verge alum Rami Malek: Not only did Emmy gold go to The Pacific (where he starred as the eerie Snafu), but he's been cast in the final Twilight installment, Breaking Dawn. Malek will play Benjamin, an Egyptian vampire who can control the four elements. Apparently, Twilight becomes The Last Airbender? Who knew! [ET]

Actually it was more "Heroes" than "The Last Airbender", and just about as poorly executed.
This guy was brilliant in The Pacific. Towards the end, long after I'd given up on the show, the work he did when I'd catch a scene here and there, is what brought me back. Incredible. Such a great look, too, speaking as a photographer.
He was excellent in The Pacific; possibly the best character in the miniseries.
Hmm.. okay. I didn’t really have a specific image in my mind as to what Benjamin should look like so this guy works.
