VIDEO: Chris Evans Talks Captain America, Toddlers Falling Down

Chris Evans didn't plan to sign up for so many comic book movies -- really! So how did his superhero-studded career come together? The newly minted Captain America told Elle all about it, and Movieline has the first look.

In late June at NYC's Milk Studios, Evans sat down with the magazine on the set of the new commercial he's shooting for the fragrance Gucci Guilty, helmed by graphic novelist (and director of The Spirit) Frank Miller. Yes, even when doing a high fashion advertisement, Evans can't escape the comic book world. To hear the Fantastic Four alum tell it, though, this career path couldn't have happened to a more unlikely guy.

"I really didn't grow up reading comic books, so I didn't have too much interest in them," he said. "It's been kind of coincidental that I've made so many comic book films. It's just kind of been what's out there right now -- a lot of studios are making comic book movies, they're great material to transition into films, and it's just kind of worked out that I've ended up in a few."

Below, Evans discusses the Captain America gig, his guilty love of America's Funniest Home Videos, and his own relationship to fashion. Head over to Elle.com for more information and additional looks behind the Gucci Guilty shoot.
