Quoth The Raven, "John Cusack To Star"
Setting his hot tub time machine for the mid-19th century, John Cusack will be starring as Edgar Allan Poe in James McTeigue's The Raven. The film will not be based on Poe's poem, but rather on Poe and a young detective's hunt for a serial killer in Baltimore in the last few days of Poe's life. Y'know, I think I'd much rather watch a biopic proper of Poe's life, rather than see him awkwardly shoehorned into some standard killer-thriller. After the break, check out the only adaption of The Raven worth watching.

After the Simpon's version, anything else is just supurfulous.
Hasn't this been done already, only with H.G. Wells chasing Jack the Ripper in "Time After Time"?
The Raven (1963) with Vincent Price just might be one of the best things
The Simpsons' version of The Raven is the single greatest moment in television history. I keep it on my iPhone at all times.
And H.G. Wells is plenty busy these days on Warehouse 13.
This particular story was done in the novel Nevermore by Harold Schechter, except he had Poe team up with Davy Crockett instead of a detective.
I can't wait for the ads that say" From the Director of Ninja Assassin", but I'll settle for "From the studio that brought you The Blind Side."
