Where is the Runaway Train on the New Unstoppable Poster?

So Fox has unveiled the first official poster for Tony Scott's long-gestating runaway-train thriller Unstoppable, featuring Denzel Washington and Chris Pine as an unlikely duo charged with halting said train -- loaded with chemicals, natch -- before it jumps the rails, barrels into a bus full of children and/or achieves any number of other cataclysmic scenarios. All of which raises the question: Where's the train?

In one of the most profound marketing oversights since Mickey Rourke was omitted from the final Iron Man 2 poster, the artwork features only extreme close-ups of stars Washington and Pine separated separated by a white-hot bolt of sparks that could mean... anything? This one's a mystery. Also: Unstoppable? More like Photoshoppable! Ugh, forget it. [via /Film]

The train is so fast, so _unstoppable_, that it didn't even wait to be captured for this poster image! All that is left in its wake are the sparks flying from the rails as it zooms like an angry missile of chemical malice toward the bus-full of innocent childrens!! It's unstoppable!!!
Also, whatever the retoucher did to Pine's face is criminal.

  • It looks like the transporter made a mistake during Kirk's last beam-up: he's bronze!

  • The Winchester says:

It's Chris Pine's eyes that are TRULY unstoppable in this poster.

  • Kyle Buchanan says:

    Or his eyebrows.

lol, it looks as if someone went a little too 'photoshop happy' on Pine's face.

I think that's the same stock photo of Denzel Washington that they've used for his last 17 movie posters.

  • Lessie Behen says:

I bet even the celebrities who are retouched get down that they aren't considered perfect enough just to go in as they are - it's really sad!
