Friday Box Office: Vampires Doesn't Suck
And what a dubious honor it is. Vampires Suck, the latest anti-comedy from the Date Movie brain trust, managed to just barely eke out a win over Sly's crew of dudes in The Expendables, though they may yet win the weekend. Meanwhile, the rest of the five films that opened last night were scattered throughout the rather wan box office receipts, with Jennifer Aniston's The Switch, thudding into eighth place. Your Friday Box Office is here.
1. VAMPIRES SUCK: $5,000,000 (new)
2. THE EXPENDABLES: $4,800,000 ($53,000,000)
3. LOTTERY TICKET: $3,700,000 (new)
4. EAT, PRAY, LOVE: $3,600,000 ($38,000,000)
5. PIRANHA 3D: $3,600,000 (new)
6. NANNY MCPHEE RETURNS: $3,000,000 (new)
7. THE OTHER GUYS: $2,900,000 ($81,000,000)
8. THE SWITCH: $2,800,000 (new)

How many turds does Jennifer Aniston get to release before we can stop referring to her as an actress?
@Turdblossom. Word! Time for the rom-com queen to come back to tv. She stinks up the screen.
If it doesn't suck, why didn't Movieline's reviewer laud it? (Or even review it?)
They reviewed it because that is their job as film critics, and I believe the review enjoyed Jason Bateman's performance more than Jennifer Aniston.
