TV Bites: Now Mariah Carey Could Be Your Next American Idol Judge
Also in this morning's TV Bites: Another call for Last Call with Carson Daly... CNN wants more Larry King... Grey's Anatomy adds another guest star... and very slightly more ahead.
· Grains of salt, etc. Mariah Carey is still deep in negotiations with American Idol producers and hopes to land on the judging dais. "She wants it," said a source to E! "She's seen what America's Got Talent has done for [husband Nick Cannon] and thinks it will be a good career move." But, wait: wasn't Steven Tyler going to replace Paula Abdul as the dizzy pop star? This is too confusing. [E!]
· Blood from a stone time: CNN wants Larry King to remain as host of his show through the end of the year because rumored replacement Piers Morgan is "apparently having trouble obtaining a work visa." Uh-huh. [THR]
· Good news for nine people: NBC has renewed Last Call with Carson Daly for a 10th season. [Variety]
· A few days after Grey's Anatomy readmitted Mandy Moore as a guest star, they've done the same for her on-screen husband, Ryan Devlin. The Cougar Town star will appear in episodes six and seven of the upcoming season. Moore was reportedly only signed on for episode six, so you might want to get some Kleenex ready. [EW]
· Perez Hilton will guest star on Nickelodeon's hit show, Victorious next Friday. "Get 'em while they're young!" he writes. Shiver. [Perez Hilton]
· SyFy has announced its fall premiere dates. Make sure you're home on Sept. 25, as that's when Sharktopus will air. [Digital Spy]

Last Call is only ten years old? Wow, I guess time flies when no one is paying attention.
Who at NBC does Carson Daily have nude pictures of? That show is like crop circles and Tila Tequila. You just can't explain its existence.
Yeah, deciding J-Lo is too high maintenace only to turn around and hire Mimi makes sense.
