Is Chelsea Handler the Right Choice for VMA Host?
As reported earlier, Chelsea Handler is hosting this year's Video Music Awards, making her the first woman to emcee the show since Roseanne in 1994. But is the E! talk doyenne the best option to replace two-time host Russell Brand?
You know? All things considered, this could be the best thing to happen to the VMAs in years. While Russell Brand offered cheeky and outright bawdy jabs at the nominees and presenters, Chelsea Handler's style is so underplayed and unconcerned with audience reaction that we might be in for some of what made Ben Stiller's 1998 hosting gig memorable -- real pokes at celebrities.
Her candor is the perfect counterbalance to the night's streak of celebrity indulgence. There's no doubt Katy Perry will show up wearing, say, an Easter Bunny costume dipped in blood, and Lady Gaga will arrive in a catsuit made of Beanie Babies, chocolate, and knives. Handler is the perfect host to take in such spectacles and squelch the stars' self-satisfaction with a single one-liner. Or better yet, a quick reminder like, "Hey guys. Nobody cares." And she'd be right.
Plus, maybe Chuy will start a fight with Eminem. And maybe Chelsea will say, "Ladies, settle down." It's that easy, and I can't wait.

I've always found her jokes rather toothless and obvious. Expect zero toes stepped on.
Well Chelsea Handler is gross and fake. And so are a lot of pop stars. So maybe it's a good match.
Lindsay Lohan won't be going anyplace which may prevent her from her film, so once again, I call BS on that really serious rigorous inpatient rehab nonsense. There is no way the girl or her mum will miss out on this chance to make dollar. And needless to say she won't detest that scram band good enough to give up the jack and coke and let go stuffing sh*t up her unsightly nose.
Lohan Is going to Rehab Today, She actually is just simply carrying out this like a stunt in order to scale down her sentencing in October or else totally prevent any incarceration. She actually is so clear and predictable.
