It's not like Pilgrim had any real popular actors that would attract some viewers. Cera- NOt. Brandon Routh tryna act funny?! yeah right. Even Captain America?! That dude was never popular. schwartzman?? He's sometimes funny, but no one know's who he is. I could see this bomb miles away, many miles.

  • Brian says:

I chose to see Scott Pilgrim last night because I was fan of a director. I didn't think it would be the big hit of the weekend, but I personally thought it was awesome; funny exchanges, great touches. I can see it finding an audience, more so on home video.

  • The Winchester says:

At least Scott Pilgrim will make more than Shaun and Hot Fuzz, and if that lets Edgar Wright make more movies (like Ant Man!) I am all for it.

  • I think Scott Pilgrim will have strong legs (hopefully). Wright's films have always consistently preformed over a longer period of time than most movies. I think people seeing it multiple times (like me) as well as an older crowd eventually coming will make this a success. Come on, whose not going to tell there mom about this movie?

  • John Dingler says:

Approx. 90% of the lead actors/personalities in The Expendables are Rightwingers. Considering that most of Holliwood is not this stupid politically, the high percentage of Rightwingers is an anomaly. This means that Stallone, the movie's writer and director, a known Rightwinger, purposely chose the actors for their Rightwing stances and ties.
Since it was largely Rigtwingers who are responsible for the Iraq war, for the quagmire in Afgh., for two recessions under eight years of Bush, and for the Wall Street scandal, and now for pushing to give Social Security to Wall Street which will transform it into Wall Street Security, and now thwart Obama from fixing these Bush-era perpetrations, I will take my family to another movie; I don't support the politics of the actors' in The Expendables. I blame people like them, who support the wrong kind of politicians, for the current mess.

  • ben says:

You think the actors were chosen for their political leanings, as opposed to their iconic status as stars of the action genre?
Seriously, it must be absolutely exhausting being you.

  • John Dingler says:

You think it's a coincidence? Yes or no.

  • Martini Shark says:

I eagerly await John's diessertation on explaining the mamoth success that was "Paul Blart: Mall Cop". It may prove out my theory George Soros bought every ticket to prop up the career of Bobby Cannavale.

  • John Dingler says:

Being a WWE fan, I went to see Stone Cold, in part. Stone Cold seemed to be in a straight jacket. He got the short end of the stick and the Asian guy and the Black guy received roles that were too prominent for their weak presence. The women were caricatures, the guys super gay. They would rather be with each other rather than with a woman, or maybe they are written in as being maladjusted. The sad subtext was "Old actors whom nobody wants do one last movie, this one together."
Over all, the movie was the emptiest I have ever seen. There was zero redeeming feature in it. Not recommending it.

  • Martini Shark says:

Ah, so the same person who called right-wingers "stupid" also wrote the phrase, "Being a WWE fan . . ."

  • John Dingler says:

Your point? You have not made a case for anything.

  • Laza Morgan says:

Alexandra Burke's recent track Start Without You is very catchy! The track without a doubt earned the #1 spot on the singles charts and I hope Alexandra releases her second album soon! I wanna hear Laza Morgan's debut album, too.
