Watch The Other Guys' Anti-Corporate End Credits Sequence
After watching a Will Ferrell comedy like The Other Guys, you might be expecting an outtake reel or a bizarre epilogue to play underneath the closing credits. Instead, director Adam McKay (whose political essays often appear at the Huffington Post) took the opportunity to illustrate the rampant financial corruption of America in a Rage Against the Machine-scored animated interlude.
Moviefone provided a look at the credits sequence (embedded below) and a talk with its makers. We eagerly await the retort from Big Hollywood.

The only redeeming quality of the movie!
These credits actually made me mad. Not at corporate America, no: at the bonehead filmmakers who not only lost the focus of their own story (c'mon, how hard can it be to write an Odd Couple cop comedy?) but who then felt compelled to ram animated infographics down our throats over the credits. Save the economics lecture for the Huffington Post, guys. I went to the theater to laugh, not to feel queasy over The Injustice of It All.
God forbid a comedy try to use satire.
Shut up and go see Dinner for Schmucks if you want cheap and easy laughs.
Rage Against the Machine should not EVER cover Dylan. I suppose the filmakers felt inclined to leave uninformed viewers with a bit more knowledge, but eh! I had no use for it.
