Big Brother Repulsion Index: Pandora's Relationship On the Rocks
In last night's Big Brother, Matt opened Pandora's Box and unwittingly invited a new saboteur into the household. In exchange for this CBS-branded evil that will haunt houseguests (and hopefully dissolve alliances), Matt picked up the ultimate, diamond-encrusted accessory...
...an iced-out Power of Veto necklace that means Matt will have the option of taking a contestant off the block once in the next two weeks and replacing said person with the houseguest of his choice. Now, for the most repulsive players in last night's game:
3. Matt ("The Self-Described Genius")
Most Terrible Words Said on Camera: "Curiosity killed the Matt. " / "I just kinda just chilled there with my hands down my pants, just relaxing."
Repulsiveness Profile: Viewers already knew that Matt -- the only member of the Brigade alliance to win an HOH so far -- was ruthless after he lied to his houseguests, alliance included, about his wife having a rare life and limb-threatening disease. His ruthlessness verged on repulsive this week though when he confessed to cameras that he had his hands in his pants while Ragan and Rachel fought on his bed. Later, after lying to the entire household again about the circumstances that led him to open Pandora's Box, he regretted his decision and lamented that "Curiosity killed the Matt." Collective groan.
2. Rachel ("The One Who Claims to Be a Scientist but Is Officially Credited as a Cocktail Waitress")
Most Terrible Words Said Cried on Camera: "I fought for 35 days in a row. I just feel like a lost puppy. I fought so hard that I have to get another injection of Botox because I have so many wrinkles right now."
Repulsiveness Profile: Reigning terror Rachel returned last night and -- surprise! -- she actually earned a few sympathy votes when her musclebound showmance partner, Brendon, again failed to clinch HOH. (Miraculously, Rachel has won two.) Disgusted with the Bren part of Brenchel, Rachel faked tears during a confessional, pushed Brendon away from her and even hinted to Matt that she might throw her beau under the bus if that is necessary to stay in the game.
Most Terrible Words Said on Camera: "If Rachel can't accept my constant support, this game is going to be really hard for us."
Repulsiveness Profile: A few weeks ago, I wondered whether Brendon, the swim coach who had a little too much fun in a wizard's costume, is really as needy as he makes himself seem with Rachel, his aforementioned showmance partner. Last night, Brendon proved that he is actually the lost puppy in the Brenchel equation by following his flame-haired flame around the house, barking at anyone who dare speak to her and pathetically waiting for reassurances from his owner. Even Rachel was disgusted by this flagrant show of unmanliness and suggested that Brendon stop being so "emotional and sensitive." Yuck!
