4 Pilots That Are Being Re-Shot Before Their Fall Premieres

With less than two months until fall premiere season begins, several networks are reworking some of their higher profile programs in time for their autumn roll-outs. And you might be surprised to find out which projects needed a last-minute face lift.

· $#*! My Dad Says

While CBS executive Nina Tassler had a difficult time convincing critics at this week's TCA press tour that she was satisfied with the original pilot, which was adapted from Justin Halpern's profanity-laced Twitter feed and stars William Shatner, she was able to convince critics that there is a chance the pilot could turn out well after it is reshot with new lead Jonathan Sadowski. "Look at Big Bang Theory and Numb3rs," Tassler reasoned. "Those both needed to be reshot and look how they turned out. So think of this like the Big Bang Theory [pilot]."

$#*! My Dad Says premieres Sept. 23 on CBS.

· Running Wilde

Even with Arrested Development alums Mitch Hurwitz and Will Arnett on board (as well as Keri Russell) this Fox comedy pilot fell flat with network execs and is in the process of being re-shot with the help of another AD cast member, David Cross. Now, if Hurwitz could just keep reshooting until he has reassembled the entire Bluth family, he would be getting somewhere.

Running Wilde premieres on Sept. 21 on Fox.

· The Whole Truth

Unlike the previous two series, The Whole Truth is being re-shot mainly because its lead actress Joely Richardson left the project for personal reasons after shooting the pilot. Maura Tierney will now assume the role of Kathryn Pearle opposite Rob Morrow in the Jerry Bruckheimer (that's pronounced BRUCK-HIMER)-produced legal drama.

The Whole Truth premieres on Sept. 22 on ABC.

· Raising Hope

This Fox comedy featuring Lucas Neff as a 23-year-old single father was re-shot after switching out two cast members. Shannon Marie Woodward (The Riches) supplanted Olesya Rulin as Neff's character's love interest and producers reverted the role of Neff's characters cousin from male to female, meaning that Kate Micucci was out and Skyler Stone was in. Thankfully, Martha Plimpton and Cloris Leachman remain.

Raising Hope premieres on Sept. 21 on Fox.
