New Clip From The Expendables Confirms 'R' Rating

If The Expendables' "R" rating for "strong action and bloody violence throughout, and for some language" weren't enough to convince you of its red-meat goriness, perhaps this latest bit of marketing will. Lionsgate has released a hella violent clip from the Sylvester Stallone action throwback to MySpace -- MySpace! -- and if it's a taste of what you can expect, get ready for burned-alive bad guys and Jason Statham wearing cool sunglasses.

If you blinked at all during the carnage, you might have missed Eric Roberts and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin jumping into the water, thoroughly free of third-degree burns despite being doused in gasoline from a flying warplane.

Any takers on how their villainous characters eventually die? I'm guessing a decapitation followed by some glib one-liner: "Now who's head of the class!" That sort of thing.
