BREAKING: Lea Michele Not in Horrible Car Accident

leamichele_225.jpgDespite some patently transparent protestations from creator Ryan Murphy, his uber-hit Glee couldn't stay out of the headlines if it tried. Case in point: Lea Michele saw a car accident!

Let's head to THR for the "exclusive" nitty-gritty -- headlined "Lea Michele narrowly avoids car crash," no less:

Michele was on her way to The Hollywood Reporter's Emmy Roundtable at the Chateau Marmont when the incident occurred. While stopped at the intersection, a car running a red light collided with a truck, causing the truck to flip over multiple times before eventually stopping a few feet from Michele's vehicle. The star immediately exited the car and stepped to safety on the side of the road.

The visibly upset nominee arrived to the Chateau Marmont at 5 p.m. by foot once paramedics and the fire department arrived on the scene. [... E]veryone involved in the incident escaped without serious injury.

Well, that's good. So to recap: Lea Michele was stopped at a red light, saw a car accident, got out of her car, left her car and walked to the Chateau Marmont. Move it folks, I've got a roundtable to get to! Julia Louis-Dreyfus has nothing on me!

Welcome to August, everyone.

  • Frank says:

Ok why make this out as Lea fault? That last line was unnecessary and uncalled for. She did nothing wrong and can not help that the Hollywood Reporter reported it. They only reported it because it impacted their event. The report also says she stayed until the police arrive so she didn't just walk off like it was nothing, to attend her event. You probably would be bitching at her if she missed the event saying she didn't have time for it or what ever.
Is it a bit much to report, sure, but go after the source not the actress who was just minding her own business. What is the funniest thing is THR put in in their story because they know glee will get hits to their web site, hum wonder why you are re-posting it? Sad, you complain they are getting too much exposure than your report stories about them.

  • Andrew says:

I think someone's gotta crush on a certain young ingenue!

  • Joan says:

He may have a crush but he also has a point. Plus you can probably find thousands of non-stories about celebrities. So why pick this one to worry about. No big deal.

  • Becoming hurt within an incident at work may put a person in to very difficult scenario. Part of a person does not want to seem disloyal for your employer by looking for compensation, however equally you are justified in hesitant to end up being remaining up front because of the cost caused by the accident.
