Buzz Break: Terence Howard to Play Sam Waterston on Law & Order: LA

terrence_howard_law.jpg· Not content merely to have cast Alfred Molina as its new district attorney, Law & Order: Los Angeles has brought aboard Terrence Howard to play a second DA, allowing both stars to appear in only half of each season's episodes. Terrence Howard, you guys! Maybe Dick Wolf missed having someone like Michael Moriarty on set.

More Buzz Break, after the jump:

· Who's the secret gay character on 90210? After Elton has figured it out.

· The Natalie Portman/Mila Kunis ballet-apalooze Black Swan will open December 1.

· Waterworld: secretly underrated?

· Speidi has officially filed for divorce, but if there were no cameras around, did it make a sound?

Sam Waterston set a high bar for L&O DAs, and neither one of these guys reaches it IMO (I won't even get into Skeet Ulrich/Jerry Orbach comparisons...)
Also, sadly, all I think when I see Terrence Howard's name is "baby wipes". This does not bode will for LOLA.

  • I'll answer your Waterworld question: No.

  • Formerly Blackwater says:

Sure, but what's Robert Duvall been up to lately? Anything new coming out? Anything at all? How about Bill Murray? Anything?

I'm all for Terrence Howard joining Law & Order, as long as he's forced to say "it's just unclean" at least once every episode.
