The Thor Comic-Con Trailer Hammers Its Way Online
With the exception of the lucky few who got to attend Comic-Con, Thor has remained a confounding mystery of bizarre still photos and eye-patches. But not anymore! The five-minute (!) sizzle reel from 'Con has leaked online and it answers the question you've been wondering: What is this?
Short answer: It's a Marvel origin story! And that means a tortured hero (Chris Hemsworth's Thor), a bland love interest (Natalie Portman's scientist, Jane Foster), a mediocre villain (Tom Hiddleston's Loki), lots of slow-motion fighting and Clark Gregg dispensing his expert brand of confident snark.
And you know what? It doesn't look that bad. The footage presented here certainly leaves you feeling that Thor won't be Marvel's bête noire -- even the scenes set on Asgard aren't too silly (though Sir Anthony Hopkins might as well be reading the phone book). It's fun, exciting and -- most important -- has a sense of humor reminiscent of Iron Man. Of course how director Kenneth Branagh will tie it all together remains to be seen -- the earth-bound parts feel torn out of another trailer; hey Kat Dennings! -- but this could have been a lot worse. Remember?
VERDICT: Getting there.

Sold! Looks like fun (and Hemsworth is smokin' hot).
Hemsworth certainly has that Taylor Kitsch/Tim Riggins-vibe going for him.
Why can't I view this?
Nevermind. It just took a few minutes to get going.
I think it looks great. After the billions of Shakespeare films Branagh has directed successfully, I trust the guy.
Wow, they're really blowing a prime opportunity by not scoring that to Led Zeppelin's Immigrant Song.
