Sasha Grey Acts Another Day?
The porn star who launched a thousand (OK, so a few dozen) debates about her dramatic acting capabilities is coming back for more: Sasha Grey is in talks for the dark thriller I Melt With You, in which she'd play "a free spirit who helps one of the men realize that nirvana can only be achieved by death." And all this time I thought nirvana was a prolonged 10-guy gangbang. I guess this is close enough; Rob Lowe, Jeremy Piven, Thomas Jane, Zander Eckhouse and Abhi Sinha are aboard as well. I've only seen her in The Girlfriend Experience, by the amazing director who brought us Traffic. I don't blame her, but that movie was HORRIBLE! He must have just been bored, and wanted to film randomness and piece it together. If someone has a different take on this, please fill me in!!
How much did Jeremy Piven pay to be in this?
It's not completely uncommon to hear about porn stars trying to break into actual movies. Traci Lords tried to for the longest time, her biggest role....I think....was in Blade as a vampire. She was killed off right away. Ha!
Anyway, Sasha Grey has a band, too. Trying to become a "Hollywood Triple-Threat," I guesss. I heard a bit of it from their MySpace page; not bad.
