TCA: Jim Parsons and Johnny Galecki Talk About the 'Dirtiest Thing' They've Ever Done Onscreen
After dodging questions about contract negotiations and a possible guest appearance by William Shatner, the Big Bang Theory cast took a moment at the TCAs today to remember their filthiest day on set. Chuck E. Cheese fetishists, your time is now.
After a a few uncomfortable questions about Kaley Cuoco's paycheck, one television critic broke the tension inside the Beverly Hilton ballroom by asking about the Big Bang Theory scene in which Leonard and Sheldon dove into a giant pit of plastic balls. Relieved to have a discussion about something unrelated to money, Cuoco, Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, and co-creators Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady jumped into the TCA's metaphorical ball pit to reminisce. Their dialogue below.
JIM PARSONS: That was the dirtiest thing I've ever done as an actor.
KALEY CUOCO: He came in from rehearsal from that. I remember you and I had a scene. And he's looking at me. I'm like, "Have you showered today?" It was like a film of black across his face.
JIM PARSONS: It was awful. I washed my hands, and the sink was black water. Then I wiped my clean hands on a towel, and it would be damp, and I brushed it over my face, and there would be this swath of pink and gray.
JOHNNY GALECKI: And we had disinfectant spray for one another.
JIM PARSONS: It was good for my hair, though. I realized that I need a drier product. I don't need to use a gel or something.
CHUCK LORRE: I think we emptied every bin at every Chuck E. Cheese's in Los Angeles.
BILL PRADY: Ball pits are kind of on the way out. They don't really make them anymore.
JOHNNY GALECKI: Because it's a sanitary issue, right?
BILL PRADY: Yeah.
JIM PARSONS: And it should be.

Here's hoping someone gives Parsons a "Tarantino/Travolta" shot at re-definition. He's talented but is too "Cliff Claven" right now with the success of "Big Bang" (and all the attention it's gotten him.)
If you're his agent...This is a challenge to YOU.
As for the "dirty balls"?
Hollywood was built on them.
Can I quote you in my report for school?
