TV Bites: President Obama to Face Off Against Elisabeth Hasselbeck on The View
In this morning's other TV Bites: Family Guy plans to insult Sarah Palin again... a Simpsons producer slams Seth MacFarlane... and Michael Chiklis Comic-Cons his way out of a nasty recasting rumor.
· ABC just announced that President Obama will tape an episode of The View on Wednesday (to air on Thursday) as part of the program's "Red, White and View" political campaign. This will mark the first time that a sitting president has appeared on a daytime talk show. [ABC News]
· Seth MacFarlane told Comic-Con audiences this weekend that he plans on reviving Down Syndrome Girl (a character who claimed that the former governor of Alaska was her mother) for another episode of Family Guy, in spite of Sarah Palin's disapproval. MacFarlane also confirmed that the upcoming FG Return of the Jedi spoof would be the series' last full-episode Star Wars parody. [THR]
· In other Seth MacFarlane news, Simpson producer Matt Selman slammed the Family Guy creator during a Comic-Con panel by declaring that "Seth MacFarlane has one show three times," in reference to MacFarlane's three Fox programs -- Family Guy, American Dad and The Cleveland Show. [THR]
· Michael Chiklis made a strong showing at this weekend's Comic-Con to promote his new ABC series No Ordinary Family ... which means that he probably won't be cut from the show before its fall premiere. [THR]

I can't wait to see Elisabeth's cross examination interviewing style, "You are the first black president, correct?" "Now that we live in a post racial society, can I say the N-word while singing along to rap music?"
This is great! How did you learn the subject when you were first getting into it?
