TV Bites: Mentally Prepare Yourself For the Undercover Karaoke Reality Series

· Funny or Die is pitching a new reality series based on the site's popular video Undercover Karaoke with Jewel in which the star disguised herself in prosthetic make-up and performed her own songs at a hole-in-the-wall karaoke joint to the audience's surprise. If picked up, the series would feature different music stars from the last four decades. [Deadline]

· Aubrey O'Day, who got her start two years ago when Sean Combs fired her from an episode of MTV's Making the Band, has just scored her own reality series on Oxygen: The Aubrey O'Day Project. [THR]

· The infamous Family Guy "abortion episode" that was never shown on Fox will be available on DVD this September. [NYT]

· Donald Trump has reportedly un-invited Tiger Woods mistress Rachel Uchitel to be part of his Celebrity Apprentice show after finding out that she signed onto VH1's Celebrity Rehab. [The Wrap]

  • THAT'S why Trump dismissed Rachel Uchitel? I thought he kicked her of Celebrity Apprentice because it was called CELEBRITY Apprentice.

    How is the Family Guy episode about abortion infamous? Was it actually funny? Because that would be the most shocking thing Family Guy could do.

  • I doubt it was funny. Remember when they first banned the episode where Peter sings "When You Wish Upon a Jew" (or maybe the episode was called that - I don't remember)? Once that aired, not only wasn't it really offensive, but it wasn't even funny!
