TV Bites: The Jersey Shore Cast Strikes... Because They Can

· MTV's Jersey Shore cast is getting aggressive with its paycheck negotiations. JWoww, Ronnie, Sammie, Pauly D and Vinny are reportedly refusing to film scenes for the show's third season until they get a more lucrative contract from the network. Snooki and The Situation are scheduled to begin shooting today but are still unsure whether they will go ahead with the strike. Meanwhile, MTV has reportedly offered The Situation his own series. · Fox's Running Wilde has just become even more of an Arrested Development reunion. Mitch Hurwitz's latest comedy, which stars Will Arnett, has just hired David Cross as a series regular. So Will, was this the Arrested Development reunion you were certain was happening? [THR]
· Starz has cast Australian actor Dustin Clare (Satisfaction) as the lead in Spartacus: Gods of the Arena, the six-part prequel to Spartacus: Blood and Sand. Jaime Murray (Dexter) and Marisa Ramirez (General Hospital) will also join the project as a Capua social climber and a slave girl, respectively. [Deadline]
· Former Will & Grace showrunners Tracy Poust and Jon Kinnally have been hired as executive producers/showrunners for NBC's upcoming dramedy Love Bites, which stars Becki Newton. Cindy Chupack recently stepped down from her showrunner perch but assumes writing responsibilities for the show. [Deadline]
