Ryan Murphy to Make $40 Million Off of Glee

RyanMurphyThumbnail.jpgRyan Murphy has inked a $24 million deal with Fox to continue his Glee show-running duties across the next four years. Additionally, Murphy will earn a percentage of the profits from the Glee tour, albums, merchandise and possibly a Glee Broadway musical; Deadline estimates that in total, Murphy will be making $10 million a year. The only other non-singer profiting this much off of Glee might be Cory Monteith. [Deadline]

    Good for him. I say get as much cash now while you can, because there's a very good chance that the audience might get totally sick of Glee some time in the second season.

    The swipe at Cory Monteith is not needed Ms. Miller, he's actually a decent singer and a good actor, and he definitely doesn't make as much money from the show as Murphy; like the rest of the cast, he looks overworked and underpaid...
