New Lost Epilogue Photo May Answer One Burning Question

You've been chomping at the bit for the 12-minute, DVD-only Lost epilogue called "The New Man in Charge," which sheds a little light on just what happened to Hurley and Ben, post-finale. Now, EW has a picture from the little side-story, and I think one of those old loose ends just got tied up.

The still shows Ben visiting one of several Dharma stations to shut them down, and if you're thinking that we might finally get an explanation for who it was from Dharma that sent over that food drop in season two...well, maybe! Personally, I think it's clear from the way Ben's trench is tenting out and the way he'd holding that knapsack that he's clearly hiding a baby bump, promising that we'll learn just what happened when women couldn't give birth on the island anymore: Men had to do it. If only Sawyer had stuck around a little longer!

Yeah, so this article is pointless.

  • DR says:

Yeah, I loved the show from the start. Then nothing was answered except that the characters met up in the afterlife. Fuck you Lost. No one cares about answers anymore- because there are and never were any. Just mysterious ploys to keep people involved. I was a sucker too. So call me an idiot I guess.

And look at all the weight Hurley has lost.

  • bob says:

you are an idiot if you wasted time on this stupid show. They just made up crap never any intention to make sens

  • godhammer says:

It's "champing" at the bit not "chomping".

  • Omniscient One says:

they are both correct GODHAMMER , look it up you dickhead

  • gigi says:

The food drop probably shifted in time because it appeared right after the lockdown ordeal when 108 minutes have passed and the electromagnets were activated for a few seconds, causing stuff to shift in time (rewatch that episode).

  • JT says:

Gigi, I always kinda thought that. Especially since the stuff written in Ben's diary suggests they needed supplies, and narrowing missed getting them. I think the supplies were destined to go to "the others" and they got dropped too close to the Losties. Either way they were sent from the mainland, and "the others" did have a way to send for those supply drops (in the flame).
The question is why would anyone from the mainland send the supplies? Maybe the DI on the mainland never realized their island counterparts were murdered (a stretch) and just kept sending stuff on schedule. Or someone wants to send "the others" supplies. But I would think Widmore would try and stop that sort of thing. Starve Ben & Co?
