Help Movieline Caption the Latest Image from Thor
The hilarious existence of Marvel's adaptation of Thor just keeps getting more hilarious. Today the studio announced that Thor (along with Captain America) will be in 3D, because of course it will be. Said director Kenneth Brannagh, presumably with a straight face: "We came to feel that in our case 3D could be the very good friend of story and character for a different kind of experience." Marvel also released another still from Thor, this time offering a first glimpse at Sir Anthony Hopkins in his role as Odin. Yes, this is all real.
There are almost no words for this -- the eye patch, the hair, the costume, the smirk! -- but you know the drill dear readers: Help us caption the latest image from Thor below.

Clearly, the decision to take this role was made in a vodka/pill stupor. In fact I'm pretty sure he's drunk in that picture.

Well, actually this kinda makes it more interesting, fun and crappy than if they did the story in a "traditional way".
the 3d will be accordingly crappy, of course.

This still does look eminently cheesy, but for me, Thor hasn't leapt into shameless misdirection that's immediately deserving of mockery.
That said, I'll go with: "Odin. Congratulations. You're still in the running towards becoming Valhalla's Next Top Mythic Model."
