Martin Scorsese Has Never Seen Harry Potter

Did you have visions of a mohawked Ron Weasley killing pimps and johns while protecting an underage Selena Gomez in Taxi Driver 2: Get Organizized? Then here's some bad news to report: Despite an actual quote from Martin Scorsese in the British tabloid The Sun, the director has no plans to make Harry Potter star Rupert Grint into his next muse. How very Draco Malfoy of him!

Scorsese had been widely quoted as saying that Grint was the next Leonardo DiCaprio: "I would be interested in working with him. I would have no issues in casting him as a gangster, he is a very talented young man."

Alas, that praise appears to be nothing more than a total fabrication. Said the Oscar-winning director in a statement on Tuesday: "With respect to the Harry Potter films, regrettably I've never seen them and therefore am not able to discuss them or the performances of the talent in them in any way." Just don't get him started on Twilight though. Team Edward, 4eva!
