Scream 4 Script Rewrites Causing Major Trouble Among Cast?
Since Scream 4 updates apparently happen hourly, here's your latest: Screenwriter Kevin Williamson has already been replaced on the set by Scream 3 writer Ehren Kruger. And now Kruger -- the man responsible in part for the immortal Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen script -- is handling the rewrites and leaving the cast quite unhappy. The changes reportedly caused Lauren Graham to drop out and are upsetting Hayden Panetierre, whose role has been "dumbed down significantly." That's ridiculous! I only expect Grade-A scripting from the man who brought us Reindeer Games.
Wes Craven just commented to Zap2it.com with "I have not been given control of the script," on his Twitter. So... even the director is distancing himself from the rewrites?
Bad times. Williamson and Craven got 'effing shafted' with that (crappy) werewolf movie they tried to do years ago, so I look forward to being disappointed by this motion picture.
