TV Bites: Play the Larry King Replacement Game!
· This is a sad day for cable news. Larry King officially announced that he will be leaving CNN in the fall, which leaves you, dear readers, to guess his replacement. The suspendered anchor mentioned that he would like Ryan Seacrest to succeed him on last night's show -- "he's curious, he's interesting, he's likable" -- but America's Got Talent judge Piers Morgan is thought to the be the frontrunner for the job. Meanwhile, Katie Couric reportedly passed on the position earlier this week. So who does this leave? Joy Behar, this could be your future. [Deadline]

"Aaron Brown Live"!
Along the lines of "If a tree falls in a forest, and nobody is there to hear it, does it actually make a sound?", is "If CNN changes the anchor of a program, and that network has no ratings, does anyone actually give a shit?"
Why on earth would King retire? I mean trenchant observations such as calling Ryan Seachrest “curious... interesting... likable” show his wits are still razor sharp!
I think CNN, in order to keep up with the times, needs to have a reality contest/search (a la Idol) to find King's replacement. King could host, viewers could tweet their votes and CNN could finally be relevant since they decided to stop reporting news.
I'd like to see James Cotton host a talk show about real life with no bull. Maybe we could hear something without the glitz, for a change.
Randy Jackson should take over..."Yo Dawg, that's what I'm talking about"
Dwight Schultz should take over. Has anyone heard him on The Jerry Doyle Show? He's amazing.
It'll be a gigantic mistake to hire that twit Behar. She's one of the most ignorant, prejudice, unfunny people I've ever seen (only second to Whoopi Golberg).
