The Hills Reality Check: The Gang Celebrates 100 Episodes With ATVs, Alcohol and Incest Jokes

The Hills last night celebrated its 100th episode, which means that the series is now free to explore syndication deals for over 80 markets in hell. Collective sigh. Let's not think about a world where kids come home from school and watch Lo and LC instead of Seinfeld and Simpsons though -- let's just comb through last night's birthday episode, "Welcome to the Jungle," for the most and least authentic moments of the night. REAL: Brody Knew That He Was Making an Incest Joke When He Toasted to "Sleeping With Your Sisters"

Even MTV would not sign off on a Hills script that included a drunken incest joke -- that line must have come directly from Brody Jenner's booze-soaked brain. Throughout the group's week "in the jungle" (Costa Rica for those of you who don't enjoy plays on Guns N' Roses songs) Brody kept telling Kristin, the girl he has been sleeping with, that she is "just like a little sister." The bizarre sexual tension piqued when Kristin recruited a Spanish-speaking bartender to act as her date on the gang's last night. As the MTV family gathered around the cabana for a final toast, Brody thrust his shot into the air and shouted "to good times, great waves and to Kristin and sisters I've had sex with. Ahahaha." For the first time in Hills history, everyone's mouths dropped in unison at the horrible joke and the group walked away from Brody. Even Caligula would have thought that drunken remark was in bad taste.

FAKE: The Gang's Cabana "Just Happened" to Be Outfitted With a Sexy, Spanish-Speaking Bartender Who Had Eyes For Kristin

Immediately after Kristin and Brody had their first faux-fight (again, he told her that she was like a sister), a tanned "native" appeared to pour shots for everyone in the private cabana. Meet Will, the (presumably) MTV-paid bartender and Kristin's boy-toy/personal tour guide for the vacation. How else would a perfect consolation prize appear out of thin air to romance the high-maintenance MTV star and put up with Brody's horrible incest remarks. He was all but certainly an MTV plant, probably flown out from L.A. on the same private plane as the cast. Other conspiracy theories welcome in the comment box below.
