TV Bites: Janeane Garofalo Sharpens Her Criminal Mind
· Former 24 actress and comedienne Janeane Garofalo is close to signing onto CBS' Criminal Minds spin-off. The new series, Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior, already stars Oscar-winning Forest Whitaker as the head of a pack of agents within the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit. Garofalo starred in a medical drama pilot earlier this year from John Wells which was never picked up to series. [EW]

· Former Smallville actor Sam Witwer is joining Syfy's remake of the U.K. supernatural dramedy Being Human as a vampire. [EW]
· In other news, Joran van der Sloot -- the Dutchman who confessed to killing Stephany Flores in Peru last month and who remains a person of interest in Natalee Holloway's 2005 disappearance -- will only agree to a television interview if he gets paid $1 million. [Popeater]
· CSI franchise showrunners Carol Mendelsohn and Ann Donahue have inked new deals with the network for another four years each. [THR]
