Real Housewives of New Jersey Reality Check: Where Did All the Fun Go?
There was a time when the Real Housewives of New Jersey was fun to watch -- and that time has long since passed. Viewers are now stuck with a cast of four (you're better off, Dina) quibbling housewives playing tug of war with the cameras as they fight to show off every gory detail of their breast augmentations, gratuitous shopping trips and their descents into stage-motherhood. Last night's installment was no different. Danielle recovered from her latest surgery and discovered new battle tactics courtesy of Paris Hilton. Meanwhile, Jacqueline and Teresa splurged on a shopping spree that caused PETA members worldwide to weep. And somewhere, Caroline Manzo cried about the loneliness of fame, or something. REAL: Paris Hilton Really Did Teach Danielle How to Diss People Via the "Cold Call"
Last night Danielle spent five minutes on camera describing how Paris Hilton taught her how to fake a phone call. It was a savage war tactic that Danielle supported and later employed at a country club fashion show when she, annoyed by a disloyal friend, decided to use the "cold call."
As New Jersey models paraded onstage in front of her, Danielle whispered into her microphone, "I'm going to fake a phone call!" and then spent 10 minutes or so nodding solemnly into her cell as everyone around her -- did not notice. Kim G. tried to tell Danielle that the "fake call" was a childish ploy to use during a social event but Danielle deserves some credit: she did not gab into the phone nonstop annoying those around her -- she just listened to the imaginary speaker as cameras taped every second of this worthless event in American history.
Later, Danielle declared triumphantly that the move had "really pissed people off."
FAKE: Teresa "Just Wanted to Say Hi to Danielle"
Ever since the end of May, Bravo has been stringing Real Housewives of New Jersey viewers along each week with promises of a country club showdown so dramatic that cops were called, handbags were thrown, guns were pulled and tears were cried. And during last night's episode, Bravo finally treated viewers to the inciting incident of this season's confrontation centerpiece -- and it seemed just as scripted as you would have imagined.
Sworn enemies Danielle and Teresa, who famously last clashed during the table-throwing incident of 2009, stayed far away from each other during last night's country club runway event, until Teresa, feeling suddenly "soft" decided to wait for Danielle outside of the ladies' room. "It was an innocent gesture!" Teresa told cameras afterward via confessional. "I just wanted to say hi!"
That could not have been farther from the truth, and Bravo could have at least strove for consistency by not using all of those sound bites where Teresa declared that she would avoid Danielle at all possible costs.

The only thing I can not believe about Bravo is that they allowed Danielle to bring those kind of people to watch her back( like she really needs it) to a fund raising event for a baby that has cancer. To me that is hard up for rating and show no heart for the baby. Have more class than that Bravo and Danielle

i really cant stand the show anymore.... Jacqueline is so phony....she befriendss Danielle last season and now she cant stand her guts... i quess she had to figure out how to keep her spot on the show...if you too nice and not enough drama you get canned... she really comes off looking like an A-- now and her uncontrollable daughter... she needs to getr her own house in order... and Teresa well i quess since danielle made her look like a stupid blond last season... she has something to prove... well she looks like an A-- 2... i wish danielle had the guts to knock both of them out and ASHLEY... Kim G and Kim D get rid of them ASAP... make the show more boring and caddy....Please grow up Jackie and Teresa you are acting ASHLEY's age...Jackie needs to whopping her daughter A--, instead of trying to go after Danielle... thank god Caroline is a grown up...

Joe looks like he just tolerates her (teresa) I quess after having 4 kids he is stuck with her.... he never compliments her or look like he has any interest in what she saying or doing... same for jacqueline's husband...stuck with her and the 2 kids and ashley.... i got to give them 2 gals credit for snagging a rich man... they need to get a job ...just too much time and drama on yheir hands...and teresa will have 4 little brats acting like that... watch out....Jacaueline may be in for a beat down by her own daughter if she tries to discipline that child... I am not a danielle fan.... but teresa clearly started the fiasco,,, with that fake a-- greeting... i quess she had get up her gut to show she got some paterson toughness in her... nothing but a gold digger and who-- herself....trust me joe is paying for it,,,she is just a married who---,,,so is jacqueline,,, they are no different than danielle.... rumor is joe leaves the house early in the am and does not come home till darkk,,, who can blame him... and jacqueline husband does not even bother with her anymore or that daughter... im sure chris wish he could turn the clock back and have the kids but dump the wife...
