Rango Trailer: Johnny Depp is a Leaping Lizard
That Rango teaser a little while back? Really weird. Fortunately, the full trailer for Gore Verbinski's computer animated comedy is much more comprehensible, and in this one, voice star Johnny Depp is front and center -- well, his lizard likeness is, anyway.
The result is kind of an oddity that looks like it combines Depp's Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas with Verbinski's The Mexican -- only it's hopefully better than that sounds. Actually, it's kind of a promisingly weird, beautifully animated trailer; as far as Verbinski/Depp collaborations go, I'm glad the director chose this and not Pirates 4.
VERDICT: Sold.

I still wish Verbinski had done Bioshock. I think he was a perfect mesh for it. He's a great visual guy who always has intricate and amazing art direction. That's exactly what you need to really get Bioshock, capturing Rapture.
rango looks good. I like gore, he's like what tim burton would be like if he'd made a decent movie post-1995. but i was surprised to look back and see how few verbinski films are actually good: http://deadmansandwich.blogspot.com/

Can't believe it, Lady Gaga took home eight VMA awards yesterday! I am definitely happy for her achievements and I love that Born This Way piece GaGa sung too!
