Did Chris Brown's Weepy BET Michael Jackson Tribute Redeem Him?
Teehee. Of course not.
If Alicia Keys's tribute medley to herself didn't freeze your face into a wince during last night's BET Awards, Chris Brown achieved the task with his uber-tearful Michael Jackson homage. Oh, the passion! Did you know that "Man in the Mirror" is about Chris Brown's plea for you to like him? Just ask Quincy Jones. Did you know "Billie Jean" is just a metaphor for whatever Chris Brown did to Rihanna? No? It's time to join the times, simpletons. Because these songs may just be tainted forever.
To review: Chris Brown mimicked Michael Jackson's dancing for a few minutes before stalking the stage and pouting while "Man in the Mirror" played. Draw the parallels yourselves, BET analysts. He collapsed and cried too since he's Freddie Mercury sometimes. All he needs now is a ghost-written autobiography titled Kiss Kiss: Chris Brown Approaches Thine Ass, and the redemption is complete. Bravo, sir.
Seriously, what? Nice try, Chris, but your weepy vaudeville antics do not impress the PYTs of America. Stick with an "I Believe I Can Fly" rendition featuring a surprise R. Kelly cameo next time, thanks. Hell, make an appearance in the next 12 installments of "Trapped in the Closet" as the remorseful boyfriend of a stripping midget with swoopy Rihanna hair. But don't discolor the MJ catalog.
Of course, this isn't the end of the Chris Brown comeback blitz. When it comes to nationally televised moments of redemption, I'm sure Chris won't stop 'til he gets enough. Ow!

You look so damn right now, you're so ugly when you cry!!!!!!!, please what else is on.
I'm sure the crying was as big apart of the prep for the performance as any dance skills he displayed for his adoring fans of domestic violence.
The Crying Chris Brown wishes you would recycle.
People get off Chris' back already
I mean damn
All kinds of other artists have made mistakes yet they come back all glorious, do something new, come out with a new movie or song, go to rehab for a few months and all is forgiven. Let's not start naming names cause there are PLENTY!
I for one liked his rendition. If you knew anything about Chris, even before the Rihanna incident, he has always been a huge HUGE fan of MJ so I do believe it was a heartfelt loss. I cried while watching it because I grew up on MJ - the black MJ too - so it touched me and brought tears to my eyes.
People need to stop thinking EVERY SINGLE thing Chris does is for redemption. Enough already. Everybody else - including Rihanna - seems to have moved on. Why can't you people? Geez.
I think it has to do with the fact that he beat a woman's face in.
But not all artists beat and bite women to a pulp. Everyone seems to have moved on except for Chris Brown who continues, in any desperate fashion (including egregiously pimping out MJ last night), to get our sympathy. It's time for Chris Brown to follow the sad and lonely path of Ike Turner, Sisqo and Coolio.
Look. Chris made one mistake and he is scarred for life. Im pretty sure un famous people have done the same thing and got help for =it and changed there lives for the better. Why can't we give chris Brown the same chance. I am 13 and i have already learned that life isn't just made of raindows and Ice cream, And I might make mistakes as well. I hope people are more forgiving to me than you are to Chris. All i know is Chris Brown loves Michael Jackson and he couldn't hold back his feelings. Just like Janet and Jermaine Jackson when they had to speak on behalf of their brother. We feel bad for this happening to Rihanna but we only know her side, and the only ones who know the real truth is Chris, Rihanna, and God.
I'm old, so I'll give you a piece of advice as you start your long journey....Don't Smash Your Girlfriend's Face In. It is, in fact, not generally forgiven.
Just as I expected. If Alicia Keys's tribute medley to herself didn't freeze your face! , Hope you will continuo your informative post.
I also liked his rendition. After all, I thought the original "Man in the Mirror" track needed more crying and babbling. It really brought the piece together.
You all should get over yourself and leave that young man alone. He did a great rendition of Michael Jackson. I beleive that the "Man in the Mirror" hit home for him. I can only assume that he was finally seeing himself, what happened, what he did or didn't do. Needless to say she is not perfect and nore do we truly have both sides of the story. None the less who are we to pass judgement on him. There is only one (1) person that can do that and it is the good LORD above. So if anyone claims to be that, then judge. As the bible say "let he who is without sin cast the first stone".
Can you hand me that rock over there?
Well, I do believe in second chances. I don't condone what Chris Brown did however he has paid the sacrifice for his actions. Basically, nobody will ever forget what occured and that's worse than being punished.
