Deadliest Catch Turns Stroke Into Gold
Never mind the earlier question of whether Discovery did the prudent thing airing the immediate aftermath of Deadliest Catch captain Phil Harris's fatal stroke. The ratings confirm a direct hit: 5.4 million viewers tuned in for Tuesday's episode, an all-time high for the show and a 17 percent jump from this season's record-setting premiere. Thoughts? Thoughts: Americans are degenerates.
Shoulda been you, The Hills.
Phil's sons confirm that it was his request to continue filming to the very end, to show it, and to provide closure.
They are doing what Captain Phil requested. R.I.P Captain
Some of us actually care about the Harris family. I agree with the earlier post, Capt. Phil and the family had the choice of continuing filming, and they chose to. If you've been watching After The Catch, you can see how the entire fleet has been affected by Phil's death. I pray for calm winds and fair sea's for everyone on the Bering Sea. RIP Phil, we already miss you!
I've watched the show for a couple seasons and felt a connection. The only complaint I have is I knew Phil Harris died tragically but the show has milked his death way too long without giving the viewers closure. I'm glad his family had their chance for immediate closure. How can the producers start the "After the Catch" series before they show viewers what actually happened? "After the Catch" started way too soon. They're reminiscing about something we haven't seen yet. That's just bad TV. With that said, my best wishes to Phil Harris' family and friends.
Congratulations on the coldest headline of the year.
Sums up the worst of Hollywood in the most succinct sentence I have seen.
Straight out of "The Producers".
