What's On: Eight Mileys High

miley225.jpgThe stars of TV tonight include Miley Cyrus, Kyle Chandler, Dr. Jack Kevorkian, and Matt Damon. I wish they were a humanoid superhero quartet too, but alas and alack, they're each making appearances on different channels. Had you real riled for a moment, I know. Sorry. Anyway: MILEYYYY.

Friday Night Lights [NBC, 8 PM]

Defying the naysayers, Vince takes over as QB. Tami does her best to comfort the mourning Julie, and Landry makes a "pass" at Jess. Football puns, my good reader! Sort of impossible to watch the show at this point without pondering Zach Gilford's Emmy chances too hard, but we'll try.

Miley Cyrus in London: Live at the O2 [ABC, 8 PM]

It's a party in the U-K! The 17-year-old retired Twitterer revs up London with all her hits, including "7 Things," "The Climb," and "Party in the USA." If "See You Again" is nixed in favor of some new soundtrack cut, I'm going to do something drastic besides burst into tears, I think.

Larry King Live [CNN, 9 PM]

Larry invites neighborhood doctor Jack Kevorkian onto the program. They're not cutting a deal on the air, as far as I know.

The Bourne Identity [Fx, 8 PM]

Matt Damon strikes out for the first time as Jason Borune, the amnesiac agent who finds himself wrapped up in a world of intrigue and stunt work. I'd say this is far superior to The Bourne Supremacy and a little inferior to The Bourne Ultimatum. It is likely better than the unreleased Bourne Yesterday, a living room comedy starring Judy Holliday as an unwitting musclebound housewife who is forced to chloroform her boorish husband during a gin game.
