Somehow, Taylor Lautner Won't Realize That These Aren't His Real Parents in Abduction
The plot of the new Taylor Lautner thriller Abduction centers on his sudden realization that the mom and dad who've raised him aren't actually his real parents. How do you cast those roles convincingly? With two actors famous for being blond, of course! Jason Isaacs (who plays Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter series) and Maria Bello have come aboard the project as Lautner's fake family, and for an entire first act, he will pretend not to notice that their tans are nowhere near as good as his. Somewhere, Jennifer Lopez is crying, for the assimilatory torch has been passed. [Deadline]

Taylor Lautner is a nice guy, I'm still one of his fans. thanks for the information you posted here.
He just needs to go "full-WeHo" and bleach the hair. Problem solved!
Exactly! Really, this is just bad casting and an attempt to white wash Lautner. One of his fake parents should be brown: Native American, South Asian, etc. What? Mommy and daddy explain the obvious difference in looks by pointing to brown ancestors on both sides of the family?
This is just pathetic. There are plenty of actors of color out there.
I suppose Bello will get a tan, dye her hair, etc. What's a little brownface in 21st Century America? It's not like Lautner didn't become famous for playing a non-white character. It's not like brown Jaden Smith didn't open a movie to $56million.
Yep! Let's pretend non-whites are white because audiences have to be as racist as studio execs. Just ask the producers of the Last Airbender.
