CNN Hopes to Replace Larry King with Piers Morgan; Confuse Got Talent Viewers
Sad news, the 700,000 or so viewers that still tune into Larry King Live! Your favorite suspendered host allegedly has only until the autumn to croak "You're on, caller" into the mic because CNN is finally replacing Larry King with someone a little younger, a little hipper and a little less likely to cite Arthur Godfrey as his broadcasting inspiration.
According to the Telegraph, Piers Morgan is close to inking a four-year contract to headline Larry King Live! (Piers Morgan Live!, perhaps) when King's contract expires in the fall. Although CNN previously stated that the network would stick with King until he was ready to retire, the primetime show plunged to an all-time low of 771,000 viewers earlier this year.
The Britain's Got Talent host is expected to quit the UK competition show and base himself in the U.S. Overseas reports have stated that Morgan would be earning a figure between $8 and $14 million to help revamp the cable news network's image.
Good news though, Larry. If CNN does decide to replace you, I hear that MTV is looking for a TJ.

Makes no sense at all.
CNN is really losing it. While I never liked Larry, replacing him with a half-assed tabloid journalist/reality show judge makes me think they've simply run out of ideas. I can't believe they fell for a British accent!
Who will replace Piers Morgan on Britains Got Talent and America's Got Talent? Piers is a very appealing person and his willing to ask hard questions to his guest, maybe CNN will also gain a lot audience through him.
