Unlucky No. 7: The Evil Exes of Scott Pilgrim Get Postered
Not that I've pinned the entire success of the summer movie season on Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, but -- pleasepleaseplease wind up being good. You never want to be overly hyped for any movie, but the marketing for Scott Pilgrim has made that impossible. The new individual character posters highlighting each of the evil exes that Scott must battle are right inline with the recent trailer and don't stop any of the forward momentum. Get excited! After the jump, the six posters.
First up, Satya Bhabha as Matthew Patal. You recognize him from the trailer.
There's Chris Evans -- who couldn't seem more perfect -- as vapid movie star Lucas Lee.
Superman Brandon Routh as vegan psychic Todd Ingram.
Mae Whitman -- who you know as Ann Veal from Arrested Development -- as Roxy Richter. And who looks totally perfect, BTW.
Keita and Shota Saito as Kyle & Ken Katayanagi.
And finally, Jason Schwartzman as Gideon Graves.
For my money, the Mae Whitman one is best -- followed closely by Chris Evans. Collect all six!

Vegan physic? Do you mean vegan psychic?
Yep, fixed.
Dear Jesus,
I know you are God and everything, so thanks for listening. You know all these comic books movies you are creating and the crappy fanboy chatter about those movies that passes for journalism? Yeah, I though so. So if somebody has to get up on a freakin' cross to make it stop, I'm willing. Seriously. Enough already.
Yours in sacrifice,
Pamela
Pamela: global warming, oil spills, war, starvation.
I want to meet Pamela. She's funny.
Dear Jesus,
I know you are God and created horny men in you image, so thanks for listening. You know all these whiny girls you are creating and the crappy complaints about comic book movies that pass for comments on random web pages? Yeah, I though so. So if somebody has to plagiarize Pamela's comment make it stop, I'm willing. Seriously. Just have her show us her boobs and make her shutup already.
Yours in sacrifice,
The Fanboys
p.s. I love mae whitman
yeah its definitely not going to be a huge hit, depends on what other movies are opening. Maybe 30 million tops.
If you are a Scott Pilgrim fan though it is still exciting.
The movie looks like it'll be decent enough. It has retains the spirit and humor from the comic and the fight scenes looks awesome. I still wish they picked someone else to play Scott. He wasn't that awkward in the comic, he had a bit more carefree/dummy personality.
It'll find its audience once it hits DVD. It'll become a cult classic like Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, and it'll spawn numerous internet memes.
I'm surprised Kim Pine's "BLAM!" hasn't already become one.
