What's On: Miami Medical Goes Under

miamimedical225.jpgA harrowing aquatic mishap forces Miami Medical's staff to buckle down on tonight's episode. If hospital drama isn't your milieu, Comedy Central's got a brand-new comedy special starring one of the biggest post-millennial acts, and Friday Night Lights returns with a new, sure-to-be-under-appreciated episode. I picked out a nice prostitute movie on TBS for the rest of you guys.

Friday Night Lights [NBC, 8 PM]

Julie and Matt figure out what to do with their relationship, Elsa and Riggins get back together, and Eric revs up a new plan to defeat a difficult team. Do we think Zach Gilford is a dark horse for an Emmy nomination this year? It's time for FNL to win over some major suits.

Paul F. Tompkins: You Should Have Told Me [Comedy Central, 11 PM]

Paul F. Tompkins is going for gusto with his new stand-up special, as he discusses turning 40, atheism and the death of his mother. Sounds positively Carlinesque, no? I know a list he should aspire to be on.

Miami Medical [CBS, 10 PM]

A horde of divers enter the hospital after they're injured underwater, and Serena is forced to confront one of her fears. Proctor's new lady raises questions for Zambrano and Deleo. Why is this show waiting on the inevitable Gloria Estefan cameo? I want Gloria on a gurney after a tragic beat-turning-around snafu.

Pretty Woman [TBS, 9 PM]

This whimsical prostitute adventure is a hit for kids, adults, grandparents and anyone who admires the bastardization of Roy Orbison song titles. Julia Roberts stars as Julia Roberts in this heartwarming yarn while Richard Gere plays the classy perv who digs her. Look out for Laura San Giacomo in her biggest pre-Just Shoot Me role.
